The oil that can’t be shared.

I used to always wonder why the wise women in the parable of the ten virgins didn’t share their extra oil with the underprepared women. Aren’t we supposed to be generous? Aren’t we supposed to give and serve all we can? Why wasn’t that represented here? Surely the Christlike thing to do would be to share the oil.
